What is the expected lifespan of an ICES system?
— If properly cared for, the ICES Pulse Generator will last indefinitely.
– Depending on how carefully you care for lithium polymer rechargeable batteries, they can endure for hundreds or thousands of recharges.
– ICES Coil Accessories are a one-time use item. With proper care, they should last around a month.

Why don’t you increase the size of the coils to cover more serious injuries?
– ICES physics operates best in the region between the tiny coils. – Larger coils are not required because the biological response is considerably broader than merely between the little coils.
– Much larger systems based on early ICES technology from roughly a decade ago are now available.
Other manufacturers provide these systems, which are not portable and cost between $25,000 and $40,000.

Why don’t you turn the system into a “wireless” system?

Why isn’t the ICES system equipped with a cool-looking touch screen like the iPhone? – It isn’t an iPhone, after all. An ICES system requires essentially minimal interaction from the user.

When will the ICES system, like an iPhone, appear cool? – Never. It’s designed to be durable and easy to use on animals.
It can be tucked away discretely as designed. It’s not necessary for anyone to see it.

Is it possible to utilize my iPhone as an ICES pulse generator by simply plugging in a set of ICES coils? – If you want to attempt it, that’s great with us, but it doesn’t work. This is why:
– First, the ICES coil impedance is too low, putting your iPhone at risk.
At your own risk, give it a shot. We believe that if you use your iPhone for an extended period of time, you will most likely destroy it.
– Second, iPhone audio output amplifiers are limited to audible sound frequencies (20 Hz to 20 KHz), which is far lower than the high frequency spectrum required by ICES physics.
– We’ve put it to the test… It’s just not going to work. Using the most advanced electro- magnetic test equipment available, it just does not function. – If your pet has sustained a serious injury, they deserve better.
– *BUT*, if you don’t mind risking your iPhone by doing something that is unlikely to work in the first place, our coil accessories would be an excellent way for you to use an iPhone as a sinusoidal or triangle wave generator, replacing the other much more expensive, much less effective PEMF systems on the market. But, because those systems don’t operate very well in the first place, why chance your iPhone doing anything bad?
